Happiness
Well a little diversion from school ki kahaniyan, would come back to that soon
Somehow thought should write on this and school itself largely contributed to this topic and it gets me a smile and the thought makes me happy :)
This one word has like thousands and crores of interpretations and it changes not just from person to person but for the same person across life stages, across the day, different across different aspects of life and people , basis background or environment in which he or she is brought up, and is customised for every moment we could say.
Why so ?On a generic basis if this question is put up that what would happiness mean to a toddler, a little kid, a 10 year old, a teenager , youngster grown up , middle aged or old person.
Every one has a very generic definition and it varies and so does the quantum.
And more so ever people try finding their part of happiness in so many things or other people or events.
Rather few of the times if not mostly, such events that do not occur or such “happiness provider people” who do not act/ say or behave in a manner which we feel would get us more happiness, end up making us unhappy or upset.
Mutiple such events or severity of events become the cause of major displeasure.
This is as such a result of expectation that we have from a person or event.
This is a separate topic all together and i guess i would want to write on this more soon.
In this quest of dependent happiness i guess some low hanging little happiness starters or light meals are happily ignored.
We all hear or read in books that one should be happy like a child does, but most of us would end up calling such a person childish or have any other comment or doubts on such a person and not to mention calling him or her “wierd” or any random noun or adjective we could think of basis our feeling for the person concerned.
This in turn makes this person or atleast tries to bother this happy person of ours.
Positivity attracts but there is lesser positivity than loads of negativity around. And many a times this negativity temporarily wins over.
What would it take to get this positivity win then ? It might as well be doubly or more than double strong and tough to beat the other majority around.
It just takes little things to be happy and be positive about things and life.
Just look around, so many beautiful things, watch the fresh new green leaf of the plant on your desk or home, the first flower it bears gets immense hope and happiness. Try looking at the sky just before sunrise even from a Mumbai window (you need not wait to land at a hill station or an exotic location each time) it is worth a look and i just did this morning too.
Little pleasures are enjoyable and you can make or rather create these for yourself or people around you.
A smile, a word of appreciation, a “thank you” its just as simple, but simple things get difficult at times.
One thing which may help is “to slow down”, this surely helps.
I have always noticed and shared smallest of things and i have been lucky that each of my family member is party to this.
However I somehow got myself too hassled up and rushing around alot for work over last few years, “Slow down” one of my mentors advised me, helped me to do this too
Not yet succeeded but i have surely initiated this and i do feel the difference, atleast this had given me some time to ponder on things (gave me this thought to write something which i guess i have never done or even thought of ever except at studies or at work)
And more so ever I think i have started to appreciate things better than before, bringing more content.
Well this is another fulfilment that helps being happiness.
People who derive pleasure from their passions are a different league. There is so much to learn from them, they follow their passion or liking come what may in their own way possible
I just realise am liking to write on this too and can just go on , and would surely write more on this :)
Be happy Be crazy look around its all around you, it just needs some attention and trust me the feeling is so receptive :) just recognise the things around and it would reciprocate whole heartedly :)
