Adaption to change - part 1
How is it to adapt to a change ?
Self adaption or adaption by others in case you are the one who has changed or who others think is changing ?
This part lets speak about changes in personality or behavior instead of some materialistic changes
And more to start with change in self and how people would react to it.
Had this change been bad (the word has its relative degree) the reaction of people obviously would not a good one one would want
“Bad” relative coz say a teenager from a conservative family decides to watch movie with friends or travel etc and may argue or fight to make parents agree. This would be change in behavior and parents may not really like it and feel its teenager tantrums.
Extreme bad like getting into a bad habit deserves a nasty reaction.
Lets talk about the more interesting part now.
When one wants to change for self good, say be calm when he appears to be landing into an argument or not argue or accept a mistake calmly or just be quiet.
Since this is not the expected behavior the people interacting with may get more furious, rather they may end up feeling it hardly matters to you.
This is one such example, there could be multiple such things, like priority to self, managing ones’s time etc each time the other side would feel they are being treated worthless and you have become too bold/ carefree/no interest or has no value at all
These reactions hold different significance to different people depending on their environment, up bringing, culture, their age old habits or behavior etc
Such behaviors or reactions are expected, more so because you have decided to change, and not change everyone around you, nor have they decided to change with you
Expecting other people to behave as you may want them to is sheer foolishess and over expectation which is bound to be broken
Then do what ? Get back to what i was ?
No no, it has taken some effort, first to think right directionally, then to realise that this is possibly a better way to handle a situation, mental make up for doing that , and actually practising it (mind you mental make up for actually practising is an effort for some time unless imbibed as part of your personality
So never give up,
Jo kahe vo kahe, jo khid ne thani hai vo kare :)
