What Is More Difficult — A Yes or a No?

  At first glance, saying yes feels harder — it sounds like a decision, a commitment, something that demands conviction after much thought. But if you really pause to think, saying no can be just as difficult — sometimes even more. That no becomes heavier when it means choosing your own peace or preference over someone else’s comfort, when it means your mind quietly wins over your heart. It’s that moment when you stand by what feels right for you, not what would please others. There are so many shades to this — a no to what drains you, a yes to what helps you grow. Both take courage. Both are decisions of strength in their own way. Can you think of one moment when your no was harder than your yes?

Embracing JOMO: Finding Comfort in My Own Company

  Lately, I find myself wanting to be with me more than anyone else. People are the same, surroundings unchanged — yet something within feels different. I still do a few things for my close family and friends, but for others, I’ve begun to enjoy JOMO — the Joy of Missing Out. And sometimes, I feel this with everyone. When I get this time, I like to read, draw, sort my thoughts/ my stuff, or just do nothing. Yes, there are moments of overthinking, but even that feels fine — as long as I have my space. I try to understand this — is it detachment, maturity, or simply a quiet phase of self-connection? Whatever it is, it feels real. Maybe it’s just the beginning of something peaceful
