Insecure bosses
Relatable, isn’t it?
I’ve encountered some of the most insecure ones in my career so far. In fact, a few of them could probably compete with each other for the title.
And the funniest part?
They come in all varieties — gender no bar, seniority no bar, age no bar. Insecurity is truly democratic.
How do they show their insecurity?
Oh, in a hundred ways. Each one has their own style — micromanaging, withholding information, taking credit, shifting blame, pretending to be overly busy, acting like gatekeepers… the list never ends.
We’re always told “karma hits back.”
Sometimes I genuinely wonder what karma is waiting for before giving these people their overdue returns.
And one more thing I often think about: How do they even survive?
But I guess I know the answer.
There are plenty of the same breed around — so survival becomes easy when you blend into the pack.
Working with them, especially when you’re not like them, is a whole different level of demotivation.
So here’s a salute to everyone (including myself) who survives this type of ecosystem every single day.
