Natures wonders - full of gratitude
During my morning jog today, I noticed a few things.
Not that they suddenly appeared out of nowhere — except maybe one — but I realised I hadn’t really paid attention to them before.
The sun was visible in a soft orange hue, bright yet gentle, its warmth not fully unleashed. Strangely, its colour reminded me of the moon from the night before — just before the full moon.
The air felt kind. The heat was mild, accompanied by a soft, cool breeze.
On one side stood a row of trees — not too tall, not too dense, not extraordinary in any way. And yet, right in the middle of them was a bird’s nest, quietly holding its place.
Along the side path, someone had kept a wide bowl of water. Sparrows gathered around it, drinking peacefully. Nearby, more sparrows chirped, hopped around, and played in the mud — carefree and fully present.
On another side was an open space with scattered plants and trees, and in the middle of it, a small lake-like formation. And there they were — flamingos.. They visit this area around this time of the year, with a bird sanctuary just a little ahead. Today, they offered me a free sighting.
Later, I sat on a bench, thinking I would close my eyes with noise cancellation on. Yet, I could still hear children playing nearby. Surprisingly, it didn’t disturb me. It felt comforting.
On my way back, I reflected on all this — such small, simple things. Free of cost. Always around. And yet, so often unnoticed.
I was reminded of my own blog on little joys:

These may be small moments, but observing them made my mind pause. It calmed me. And in that calmness, I felt good.
So maybe all we need to do is look around —
You might find something too.
